Palletized freight stored in an organized warehouse aisle

Project loads / heavy freight / yard space

Big Freight. The Right Space.

A rack slot may not fit your freight. You tell us what you store. We check how much weight the floor can hold. We check clear height, yard space and tools to lift your load. A 3PL stores and ships goods for you. We find the site your freight needs.

  • Floor, yard and lifting tools checked
  • Short-term and project-term space
  • Free to shippers. Warehouses pay us.

01 / The wrong fit

Not all freight fits a rack.

A pallet rate does not tell you enough. Can the floor hold the load? Will it fit through the door? Can staff unload it safely? You also need a plan for weather and phased releases. The space your goods take up is just one part.

One brief. The right sites.

Check fit. Then compare costs.

We use your sizes, weights, unload plan and project dates. Many needs last 3–18 months, not a three-year lease. We look for short-term or project-term deals. We make least-spend rules, handling costs and release dates clear. Open space and terms depend on each site.

Find your space

02 / Proof before a quote

Check the site, not just its size.

A photo cannot prove what a floor can hold. Share a full load spec. Ask the site for written proof that it can store and handle your load.

01

Floor strength & clear space

Check how much weight the floor can hold. Check spread-out loads, loads on small points and their floor footprint. PSI means pounds per square inch, a measure of load pressure. Check clear height and usable door sizes. Have a trained expert review unusual loads.

02

The right lifting tools

Check clamp trucks for rolls and tools for heavy lifts. Slip sheets are thin sheets used in place of pallets. Check tools that handle them too. A forklift’s safe load depends on load balance and lift height. A crane may need a separate plan to bring it in.

03

A safe, fenced yard

Check gates, ground, drains, lights and insurance terms. Check shelter from the weather. Open yard and covered space need different quotes.

04

A working rail siding

A siding is a rail track used to load or unload. Check active service, the railroad, car types and switching plans. Check access to unload. A line on a map does not prove trains can serve it.

05

Room to set loads down

A laydown yard is open ground to set panels or loads down. Allow room for aisles, lifts, turns and each project phase. Check usable yard size and how much weight the ground holds.

06

Dates that fit your project

Agree when goods arrive and leave. Set notice times and after-hours costs. Check how staff mark stock for each phase of your project.

03 / What you store

The space your freight needs

Solar project loads

EPC firms plan, buy and build projects. Stage panels, racks and inverters for each phase. Inverters turn solar power into power you can use. Share weather and pack limits, plus the order loads must leave.

Heavy machines & equipment

Check floor strength, large doors, heavy forklifts and crane access. Give weight per piece, the balance point and lift points.

Paper rolls & packs

Check the right clamp tools and which way rolls sit. Check how staff store them and keep them dry. Protect roll edges from damage.

Lumber & building goods

Choose covered or open-yard space. Dunnage means blocks or pads that support and protect loads. Share weather limits, rail needs and how staff load and unload.

Project cargo

Plan space and ordered releases for odd-shaped loads. Agree truck access, permit limits and safe handling steps. Work with the warehouse and your carrier.

Who this fits

  • Solar & EPC firms
  • Heavy equipment dealers
  • Paper mills & roll processors
  • Pack makers
  • Building goods sellers
  • Project cargo teams

Answers before you commit

Your questions, answered.

Clear terms. No cost. Your choice.

01Can you find outdoor or yard space?

Yes, where suitable space is open. Share weather limits, ground needs, security, yard size and insurance needs. Some sites cannot take every type of goods or outdoor use.

02Can sites unload flatbeds and wide loads?

Some can. We check access, turns, ground, unload position and tools for your load. Share trailer type and packed sizes; plan oversize permits and delivery limits with your carrier.

03Can a crane or heavy forklift unload it?

We check that for your load. Give weight, balance point, lift points and reach; we check safe lift limits and crane access or transport. Get separate quotes for special rigging and unloading, and approve them before goods arrive.

04Can you find rail-served space?

Yes, we can search for it. Share railroad choice, car type, trip counts and unload method. We must check active service, switching costs and siding space at each site.

05Are short project terms okay?

Yes, we look for terms of 3–18 months too. Costs, least-spend rules, extensions and acceptance depend on the site and open space. Not every site offers the same deal.

06How do I share sizes and weights?

Give packed length, width and height with units, weight per piece, total piece count, stacking rules, floor footprint, lift points and trailer type. State indoor, covered or yard needs and arrival and release dates. If pallets do not fit your load, enter 0 and give the piece count in your message.
