Overflow & Short-Term Warehouse Space

What it is

Overflow storage is space you take for weeks or months instead of years. No long lease, no build-out, no equipment purchase. You pay for the pallet positions you actually use plus the handling to move freight in and out.

Because it is short term, speed matters more than anything. Most quotes in this category can start within two to three weeks, and some partners can receive freight sooner when a building has open space.

• Manufacturers with a production run that outgrew the plant floor
• Importers holding a container surge before retail ship windows
• Retail suppliers staging seasonal product ahead of peak
• Companies between leases, relocating, or waiting on a new facility

How pricing typically works

Storage is per pallet position per month, often prorated by half month, with a monthly minimum. Rates run a little higher than long-term contracts because the commitment is shorter.

Handling is an in-and-out rate per pallet charged once, covering receipt and eventual outbound. Ask each partner how partial months and early exit are treated — that varies more than the headline rate.
